With space being a premium in New York City expansion has its draw backs. Take for example, Bellevue hospital's new parking garage. Construction of the four level parking facility covered the existing entrance "Arch" to the hospital. The massive arch was hand-carved in 1865 and an important symbol of the hospital's enduring mission.

To preserve the look of the hospital, administration decided to construct a new arch on the south side of the parking deck. To do this MJM Studios called upon Smooth-On mold rubbers to make a mold of the entire existing arch then recast with cast stone to make an exact duplicate.
